ANR Bigger Than NTR?

Director Krish's NTR biopic updates and some of the controversial posters triggered interesting discussions among movie lovers in social media. One such highly interesting discussion is about thespians late NTR and late Anr. The topic which is debated is that who is bigger than whom? As a matter of fact, Anr and NTR ruled the roost of their careers as number ones jointly in yesteryears. 

Well, TDP's loyalists have their own reasons to project NTR as bigger hero than Anr. Of course, Krish is making a film itself to boast about NTR. Obviously, Anr's fans have come up with some solid arguments to prove their favourite star the bigger hero than NTR. Check out the following. 

* Anr made his film debut with Dharmapatni released in 1941 whereas NTR had his debut in 1949 with Manadesham. Anr gave industry hits like Balaraju and Keelugurram prior to NTR's entry as a hero. Thus, he introduced crazy heroism to the people. Though Chittooru Nagaiah also delivered industry hits like Bhaktha Pothana and Thyagayya, real heroism was established with Balaraju and Keelugurram. 

* Anr had more success rate and more number of industry hits. 

* Anr won prestigious civilian awards like Padma Sri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan from the Government of India. Also, he was honoured with film industry's best award Dada Saheb Phalke. NTR, on the contrary, was satisfied with just Padma Sri award.

* NTR couldn't beat Anr's Premabhishekam's breathtaking long run record. Premabhishekam ran silver jubilees in 29 direct centres which was not beaten by NTR's subsequent movies. 

* Anr's last movie Manam was a blockbuster while NTR's last film Srinadha Kavi Sarvabhouma was a debacle.
