The sensation Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli created with his magnum opus Baahubali is giving sleepless nights to filmmakers across the country. Not only South filmmakers but also Bollywood makers are trying their best to break Baahubali records.
One can say Baahubali success and the box office records blasted the Bollywood baton and hit on the pride of Bollywood makers. Many efforts have been made by various filmmakers to break Baaahubali records but everyone failed in their efforts.
Expectations ran high when Mr Perfectionist Amir Khan, Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif's Thugs of Hindostan released recently. Many compared it with the Indian version of Pirates of Caribbean and predicted that the film will break all records of Baahubali.
However the film gave a huge shock to the makers turning out to be a disaster. Amir Khan realized the blunder he committed by releasing the film hurriedly without any planning and working for the perfection of the script.
He did not even show interest on promoting the film unlike his real nature. Now even after Thugs turning out to be the biggest disaster, Amir Khan is unable to overcome his obsession to beat Baahubali. He decided to come up with a project bigger than Baahubali.
Keeping in view the Chinese and other overseas market, he is planning an extravagant mythological film and started discussions with renowned writers and known directors. Two to three corporate biggies knowing Amir's plans came forward to invest in the project.
It is known that earlier Amir Khan who planned a 1000cr project on Mahabharat with Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and others in lead, shelved it as it requires lot of energies and is time consuming. He felt that instead he can do one film each every year and get shares in profits.
But Amir realized that to beat Baahubali for which Rajamouli invested more than 5 years, he should also follow him. Wonder whether Amir Khan has the will power and wherewithal like Rajamouli.
