Like many south directors, Srinu Vaitla too wanted to test his luck in Bollywood. Few of films were even remade in Hindi. But, he didn’t get the chance to direct any of them. Vaitla thought of remaking his Dookudu in Bollywood. Since he shares the remake rights with producers of 14 Reels Entertainment, the project didn’t materialize, owing to differences of opinions between him and the producers.

Srinu Vaitla seems to be willing to make his Bollywood debut soon. He indeed revealed his plans of remaking Amar Akbar Antony starring Raviteja and Ileana in Hindi. “Amar Akbar Antony is a unique film with loads of comedy. I’m pretty confident that, the film will become a super hit.
