Telugu Aathmagauravam: Then NTR, Now Pawan

It was 1983. The Congress party had been ruling over the decades and the administration was felt too monotonous by the people and they were in dire need of change of the government. 

Exactly at that moment, late NTR stepped into the shoes of politics and floated TDP. Since there was no opposition for him other than the ruling Congress party which had been experiencing an acute anti incumbency, the victory turned out to be a cakewalk for NTR then. Did you know the slogan NTR adopted for to face election battle? It was 'Telugu Aathma Gouravam' chanted by NTR in public meets. Besides, he was seen in traditional Telugu pancha kattu in public meets. 

After a huge gap of 35 years, another politicians seems to have adopted 'Telugu Aathmagouravam' concept to face poll battle. And he is none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The Janasena chief is also wearing traditional pancha kattu and is highlighting Telugu Aathmagouravam concept in public meets. 

NTR fought against the Congress party then while Pawan Kalyan is fighting against the TDP as the party dumped the ethics set by late NTR and collaborated the Congress party which was hated by NTR in his entire life.
