Story Behind Rajini In Prabhas Film!

Generally almost all the directors in Indian cinema dream of working with Super Star Rajinikanth. However, here is a filmmaker who rejected Rajini. He is none other than Sandalwood director Prem.

Prem is none other than the husband of actress Rakshita. Yes, it's the same beauty who gave sleepless nights with glamour treat in films like Idiot and Mass.

Prem directed Shiv Rajkumar's Kannada film Jogi and the same was remade in Tollywood with Young Rebel Star Prabhas as Yogi. We heard that Rajinikanth planned to remake the film in Tamil and selected Prem as the director. To his shock, Prem went to Rajini and rejected the offer.

Prem made Jogi based on real life happenings in the life of an anonymous person. Prem rejected the offer to direct Prabhas in Yogi as he had to change the original according to the image of Prabhas. Even if he directs Rajinikanth in Tamil, he was forced to make changes according to the stardom of Rajini much against his wishes. As such Prem rejected the offer to direct Rajinikanth in Jogi remake.

Rajini had the influence of Jogi and he starred in a film like Kabali. Later Jogi was remade in Tamil with Rajini's son in law Dhanush as hero with Suresh Krishna directing it.
