Akhil Committed Big Blunder!

One should exercise caution and think twice before using the titles of the old classics for their upcoming entertainers. Instead of thinking about the craze they will get by naming their projects after yesteryear classics, it is better to check whether the title is apt for their content. 

Now a days the filmmakers without taking into consideration all these aspects are naming their films after old classics, only to generate hype among the movie lovers. Young hero Akhil's upcoming entertainer titled Mr Majnu too seems to be falling into the trop. 

The makers already announced that Akhil will be seen as a playboy in London who hates to miss anything. It is not clear whether Akhil's role in the film will justify Majnu title.

Majnu is a great lover and sacrificed his life for his lady love. Nagarjuna turned Majnu, a classic in 1987 under Dasari Narayana Rao's direction. Nagarjuna lived in the role and still his expressions in the song Idi Toli Raatri pierce the hearts of movie lovers. Many are wondering how Akhil who looks jovial as a playboy will be apt for the title of Majnu. 

Nagarjuna too recently starred in Devadas. The film a multi starrer was named after his father ANR's classic Devadas. The multi starrer Devadas turned out to be a flop. Everyone got surprised why Nag agreed to name the film as Devadas as movie lovers always remember ANR as Devadas who sacrificed his life for his lover Parvati. 

Any small mistake will face instant criticism and trolls from all quarters. Hero Ram once used ANR's title Devdas but since he is not from Akkineni family, movie lovers spared him and his film but this will not be the case with Akkineni heroes. Everyone knows the tension Mega Prince Varun Tej experienced when his film was named Tholi Prema, after Power Star Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster. Luckily for him, the film turned out to be a super hit.
