Many are wondering why Tollywood stars are so obsessed with Kollywood directors and when will they reduce their Sambar love. Vijay Devarakonda who turned most happening star with hits like Pelli Choopulu, Geetha Govindam and Arjun Reddy, instead of teaming up with Telugu directors, had decided to do a straight Kollywood film and unleash the same in Telugu as a dubbed one. The film NOTA showed stars to Vijay Devarakonda and many say it will bring down his attitude.

He is not the only one who got Sambar shock. Earlier Mahesh Babu for all his experience tried his luck with Murugadoss's Spyder. After the Spyder shock he decided not to collaborate with any Kollywood directors and in fact rejected a crazy role in Maniratnam's Nawab.

Despite this Vijay Devarakonda took a huge risk and faced a shock. One need not to talk about the regional chauvinism of Tamil Tambis. They never show interest in Telugu stars direct entry into their market.

Pawan Kalyan too fell for Sambar trap and did Panja with Vishnuvarthan and Bangaram with Dharani and tasted disasters. Pawan however got a success with SJ Surya's Khushi. Nonetheless his next Komaram Puli with the same director turned out to be a disaster. This is the reason why Allu Arjun has been postponing his decision on Kollywood entry.

Telugu stars are often under the false impression that Tamil directors come up with good quality product. Unless until they come out of this false impression and show faith in Telugu directors, they will get more shocks from Sambarland.

One should realize that when Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna couldn't unlock the Kollywood secret code, how can young stars like Vijay Devarakonda not even ten films old can crack it. Telugu, Tamil bilinguals rarely turned out to be successful ventures. Despite this Tollywood stars are running after Kollywood. In current context, content is more important than brand.
