Vijay Deverakonda so far was seen uttering dialogues only in Telangana dialect in all his previous films, including his last movie Geetha Govindam where he played an Andhra guy. Few slammed Vijay for mouthing dialogues only in Telangana slang, irrespective of backdrop of his films.
Apparently, Vijay Deverakonda will give fitting reply to his critics with his new film Dear Comrade. In the film, he is playing a youngster from Kakinada. Since the film needs him to speak dialogues in Kakinada slang, he is said to be practicing dialogues with help of assistant directors and he is now thorough with the slang.
Director Bharat Kamma is said to have asked Vijay to learn Kakinada slang for the film and the actor too is willing to surprise not just his critics but also his fans. In fact, Vijay is making sure to try something different for each new film and for Dear Comrade he is learning Kakinada slang.
Rashmika Mandanna who plays leading lady opposite Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a cricketer. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the project which is in initial stage of production.
