Akshay Kumar's Fake News on 2.0 Budget?

After a series of postponements, India's costliest film 2.0 makers locked the film's release date as 29th of November. According to insiders, the film's innumerable postponements was owing to buyers backing out of sky high prices quoted by makers. 

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's recent track record also made buyers thinking twice on acquiring the film's rights with too high prices. At this juncture, Bollywood star and main antagonist of the film, Akshay Kumar leaked the money expended for VFX of the film. 

Akshay said the makers shelled in $75M on the VFX which are Rs.544 crores in Indian currency. If Akshay's version is trusted, then the total budget would be around Rs.800 crores to Rs.1000 crores in the least case. Incidentally, team 2.0 gave the leaks to media several times that the movie would be made with a total budget of Rs.400 crores. As such, it is assumed that the makers asked Akshay to give the abnormal number for the VFX so as to ensure better pre release business done on the movie. 

2.0 has Amy Jackson in lead actress role. AR Rahman composed tunes. Top director Shankar helmed the film. Lyca Productions bankrolled the project.
