NOTA Can Not Be Geetha Govindam

Geetha Govindam is not a unique film; still it has done exceptional business at box office collecting over Rs 60 Cr share till date. Vijay Deverakonda’s innocent acts, Parasuram’s hilarious writing and clever making made the film a comprehensively entertaining one.

VD Konda’s next film is NOTA, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual directed by Anand Shankar is slated for release on October 4th. Since, Geetha Govindam was a super hit in Tamil Nadu as well; producers are quoting fancy prices for theatrical rights for both the languages.

Although distributors are ready to invest bigger prices, producers are said to be demanding much more. However, buyers are not willing to take risk by investing big amounts on NOTA, since political thrillers are not a safe bet and they will not have repeat value like wholesome entertainers such as Geetha Govindam.

Mehreen Kaur is leading lady opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Satyaraj and Nasser are the other important cast. KE Gnanavel Raja is producing the movie on Studio Green Banner.
