Pic Similarities: Nawab Vs God Father

Senior director Mani Ratnam usually takes inspiration from Indian epics Mahabharat and Ramayan to make his films. However, he copied Hollywood classic God Father this time to make his forthcoming entertainer Nawab. In the above picture, we can find striking similarities between God Father and Nawab.

Nawab trailer that released today has disclosed its plot. The film is about fight for the post of next Nawab of a mafia monarchy built by Prakash Raj who has three sons played by Aravind Swamy, Arun Vijay and Simbhu. Vijay Sethupathy will be seen in a key role as Aravind Swamy’s friend role and his secret mission is to destroy Nawab’s family, as shown in the trailer.

God Father is a beloved film for many Indian filmmakers including Mani Ratnam and Ram Gopal Varma. In fact, RGV made many films based on God Father and he had given credit to director Francis Ford Coppola for Sarkar movie. Now, Mani Ratnam is coming up with his version of God Father.

Nawab which also has Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dayana Erappa in important roles is likely to release on September 28th.
