What If a Big Star Acted in Saakshyam?

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas' Saakshyam opened with mixed reports and generated decent revenues on day one of its release. The movie is reported to have collected a share of Rs.3.89 crores on day one world wide which is said to be the third biggest grosser among Bellamkonda's films.

The movie was made as an out and out mass entertainer with a powerful concept. It was felt that the film would have become the biggest opener for any leading big star of Tollywood. According to reports, the film is too heavy for a budding hero like Sai Srinivas thus the concept is said to have been mismatched. On the other hand, critics were of the opinion that director Sriwasas flaunted himself as a mere photocopy of top mass director Boyapati Srinu through his takes. 

Pooja Hegde romanced Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas in the film while Jagapathi Babu essayed an antagonist. Harshavardhan Rameshwar composed tunes. Abhishek Pictures is the production house.
