Will Puri Take The Responsibility Again?

Director Puri Jagannadh boosted career of many actors. He provided hits to superstars at the right time when they were in desperate need of success.

Badri, Idiot, Sivamani, Pokiri, Desamuduru and Temper are very special movies for Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Jr NTR respectively.

Puri launched Ram Charan grandly with Chirutha that was a runaway hit. Although Puri’s Paisa Vasool with Balakrishna was a commercial failure, Balakrishna considers it to be one of his favorite films.

However, the same Puri who made game changing films with many actors has failed to pen persuasive subject for his son Akash’s heroic launch pad film Mehbooba.

Akash is winning accolades for his performance as a young guy who dreams to become Indian soldier and also as a Pakistani army official who loves Indian girl in Kashmir.

Akash went for complete makeover and built muscular physique for the film. He was so good in action episodes. However, bad writing from his dad Puri Jagannadh played spoilsport.

Many predicted that, Puri would come up with a winning script for his son’s debut movie. Nonetheless, it didn’t happen. Though he spent high budget, weak narration made the film look like a very ordinary one.

Akash who acted as child artist in several Telugu films pinned high hopes on Mehbooba which is expected to end as a flop owing to negative talk post release.

We need to wait and see whether Puri will take the charge to provide first hit for his son or give the responsibility to other director!
