Posters war among big films takes a new turn. Initially, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam makers released Rs.100 crores and Rs.200 crores gross wall posters for their film. Since the film turned out to be a genuine industry hit of Tollywood, there were no issues with the wall poster collections of Rangasthalam.
Thereupon, Prince Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu makers released wall posters like Rs.50 crores, 100 crores, 161 crores and Rs.205 crores. The numbers were given including decimals so as to make audience trusted their numbers. There was nothing wrong in publishing hiked numbers for film's publicity. However, in the process, the makers of BAN appeared to have tried to degrade the status of genuine industry hit Rangasthalam which not only hurt mega fans but also many movie fans.
And today, another big film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India's makers have come up with Rs.101.16 crores wall poster. They said the number was given for 8 days collections of the movie. Since the gross collections are given in decimals, it is felt NPS team has given a retort to BAN poster collections.
"Comparing with overrated and over hyped average films' collections, NPS poster collections are little better," opined a general audience. Meanwhile, NPS breached a share of Rs.50 crores for 8 days world wide.
