Did you remember? When newly formed Andhra Pradesh was starved for lack of funds, the ruling TDP expended Rs.2000 crores on Godavari pushkaralu. But then, what was the end result? Media reports said more than 60% funds allocated were corrupted. In spite of spending such huge money the government did not provide barricades facility properly which resulted a stampede and 29 pilgrims were killed.
The government splurged for Krishna Pushkaralu even more. More than Rs.2000 crores were spent for Krishna pushkaralu. Although opposition parties protested against government for the unnecessary expenditure, the ruling party turned blind eye on their protests.
And today, Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan alleged that such foolish decisions of TDP threw AP into a dismal state. Janasena had a meet with CPM Madhu and CPI Ramakrishna to discuss on future course of action to be taken on special status fight.
They revealed that a strong movement would be initiated from backward areas such as Ananthapur, Prakasham and North Andhra regions and would spread them later across the state.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan made it clear that Amit Shah's letter would not be considered as it was not being the letter from the Government of India, but was a letter from a party's president.
