NTR & YSR Biopics: Why No Chandrababu?

Former and late chief ministers of united Andhra Pradesh NTR and YS Rajasekhar Reddy's biopics are going to be filmed soon. While late NTR's birth anniversary has been set as the muhurtham of NTR film, YSR biopic will go on sets in the month of June this year. 

In fact, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu's role should have been crucial for both the biopics. However, the makers of both the films revealed that Naidu's character would not be inducted in their films. 

But then, why have they turned reluctant to depict Naidu's role in their films? If at all Chandrababu's character is inserted in NTR film, Chandrababu's confrontation with NTR, Viceroy hotel humiliation scene on NTR, NTR's dethroning, NTR's death and the chain of events which happened during the final rituals of NTR have to be shown which lead huge controversy. As such, team NTR has decided not to show Naidu's role in the movie.

On the other hand, YSR filmmakers wish to elevate YSR's character from his childhood. YSR's welfare programs to the needy during his six years rule will also be shot extensively. Mammotty will be sporting the role of protagonist. YSR makers felt CBN is not a competitor for YSR. As such, they decided to ignore Naidu's role in the movie. 

Co-incidentally, both NTR and YSR films will release for Sankranthi, 2019.
