Chay In Iconic Role, NTR Firm No

Biopic on legendary actress Savitri titled Mahanati is generating tremendous interest not only among movie lovers but also among the celebrities. Nag Ashwin who is directing the film roped in a star studded cast to reprise the roles of the legendary actors of the yesteryears. 

But makers found a stumbling block as they failed to get the right actors who can do the roles of greats like ANR and NTR. Though they planned to rope in Naga Chaitanya and NTR for the roles, they shied away from starring in those roles.  Sometime back it also came out that they planned to use computer graphics to depict their roles. 

However latest reports suggest that Naga Chaitanya finally gave green signal to star in the role of his grandfather ANR in the film. Sources reveal that Chay gave two days call sheets for the shoot from March 14 and 15. 

On the flip side, NTR's role will be generated using computer graphics. Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri in the film.
