Rahul Turns Darling of AP People?

It was the party which divided united Andhra Pradesh! It was the party that was pulverised by AP people during 2014's elections. But then, things appeared to be changing now. As a matter of fact, Congress alone shouldn't be blamed for state division. It was BJP which had taken a resolution in Kakinada long ago to bifurcate AP state. And it was TDP that had given a letter of consent to then union government for state's division.

Right now, all political parties of AP including ruling TDP are protesting for special category status. Even then, union minister Arun Jaitley made it clear that the centre wouldn't give SCS to AP. 

At this juncture, AICC chief Rahul Gandhi proclaimed that the Congress government would announce SCS to AP soon after the power is assumed by them. Rahul joined the protests of AP Congress activists at Jantar Mantar today and extended his solidarity to the party's demand. 

"This afternoon I joined the protests at Jantar Mantar demanding "Special Status" for Andhra Pradesh. It is my belief that if the opposition stands united on this issue, we can force the BJP Govt to do justice to the people of Andhra," office of RG tweeted. 

As Rahul Gandhi extended his support to AP people's demand, obviously, he turned darling of the people. Nevertheless, what matters is that the party should bank on Rahul's support and should make a poll management in a sensible way.
