Sridevi-Mithun Secret Revealed

Athiloka Sundari Sridevi is the first female super star of Indian cinema. Both on glamor and performance fronts she became the heartthrob of Indian movie loving audience with sustained efforts that made her the real queen of Bollywood.

However all her fans were heartbroken when Sridevi married producer Boney Kapoor, who was a divorcee. Before her marriage with Boney, rumours spread about Sridevi's alleged affair with Jitendra and also her secret marriage with Mithun Chakraborthy. 

Senior director Bapayya speaking to scribes long back threw some light on this controversy. 

He said, "Mithun Chakraborty told me that he married Sridevi which was also attended by his parents. They got married in a beach house in Mud Island in Bombay. They entered into wedlock by exchanging bracelets unlike Bengali tradition of wearing a mangala sutra. However I am not in privy of these things as a first person. 

I feel that she parted ways with Mithun Chakraborthy due to her parents. Irony is that many times I suggested Sridevi not to marry a divorcee. But her marriage happened accidentally in unforeseen circumstances and Boney became her husband."
