Sai Pallavi Uninterested On Kanam

Sai Pallavi made lasting impression with those naughty expressions in Tollywood debut film Fidaa and then went on to star in MCA, a hit.. 

Sai Pallavi in fact cast a magic spell with first debut Premam in Malayalam is now starring in a horror thriller titled Karu. The film is releasing in Telugu as Kanam and stars Naga Shourya under the direction of AL Vijay. 

Vijay said, Kanam highlights mother daughter love. We have selected a child artist and shot a photo shoot, readied posters too. However the girl could not join the shoot in last minute. So now we roped in Veronika. We had lot of difficulty in convincing Sai Pallavi for the lead. During the narration, she is not at all interested for horror subject. I asked her to listen to entire story and after few days she showed the green signal.

Sai Pallavi adds, after Premam, many people asked me when will you star in Tamil. Many of the writers narrated stories but I did not feel like acting. Even for AL Vijay, I rejected at first but after listening to the complete story, I signed. I am lucky to be a part of this emotional entertainer. I played the role of mother. A story decides which role to play and I don't have any qualms in taking any challenging roles.'
