Who Rejected NTR Biopic?

Generally actors dream to be part of the biopics of great personalities. Recently Keerthy Suresh expressed her happiness on playing the lead role in the biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri. 

Natasimha Balakrishna is coming with a biopic on his late father, popular film and political personality NTR. The film directed by Teja is heading for a regular shoot in March and the makers are finalising the rest of star cast. 

Balakrishna planned to cast Nitya Menon, known for her natural expressions and beautiful performances. Then makers contacted Nitya Menon for the role of NTR's wife Basavatarakam. But much to their shock, Nitya rejected the offer outright. Reason for rejecting the role is not yet known. 

Nitya Menon is known to reject offers opposite top stars if her role do not have any prominence. Wonder how much importance Basavatarakam's role is having in NTR's biopic.
