Senior Ntr and the Pride of Telugu states known for daring and stunning acts in real life has once turned priest to perform a marriage. Yes, this too after becoming the Chief Minister.
It was on July 7th 1988, at 6.40 AM in Ramnagar, Tobacco Premise, Ongole’s Naga Bhairava Koteswara Rao's son's marriage was underway. Many thronged to catch a glimpse of CM NTR and NTR after entering the premises to bless the new couple, had a word with Naga Bhairava Koteswara Rao.
The scene at once changed with NTR replacing the priest performing the marriage much to the shock of all. NTR took the mike and said no one here know the meaning of mantras in sanskrit and added that he will translate them in Telugu and perform the marriage.
Naga Bhairava Koteswara Rao penned dialogues for NTR’s Brahmarshi Vishwamitra and NTR lovingly addresses him as Kavigaru. His son Veerababu said, he was 19 at that time and his wife Padmaja was in a trance for one hour as none other than CM NTR performed their marriage. Many later invited NTR to perform their marriages as a priest but NTR refused saying that only Kavigaru deserved that honor.
