MCA Dominates Hello!

Natural Star Nani's Mca (Middle Class Abbayi) and Akhil's Hello generated good expectations among movie buffs prior their releases. Since Nani is in high spirits with a series of hits in the recent past, obviously, Mca carried good hype prior to its release. Now that King Ngarjuna took Akhil's second venture Hello the most prestigious project for him and pumped in huge money on it, Hello also created superb buzz before its release.

Co-incidentally, both the films did the same theatrical pre release business around Rs.30 crores each. In spite of mixed reports, Nani's Mca lived up to the expectations on the opening day at the box office. The film collected Rs. 7.60 crores on first day in AP and Telangana states. 

In contrast, Hello received lukewarm response at ticket windows on day one. The film minted Rs. 2.75 crores on day one in Telugu states. Since there has been a big difference between the collections of both the films in Telugu states, Hello cannot be said a competition to Mca. However, both the films are doing equally well at US box office. While Mca neared half a million, Hello accumulated $342K. 

If at all Hello runs steadily with better promotions, the film can get bailed out of the current scenario in near future. Mca, on the other side, is not in a comfortable position either. The movie may collect around Rs.20 crores by its first weekend's run. Thereupon, the movie needs to collect Rs.10+ more crores to reach break even.
