Keerthi Not Mahanati

Biopic on Legendary actress Savitri titled Mahanati has been the talking point not only among the movie lovers but also in the Tollywood celebrities. Malayalee beauty Keerthi Suresh is playing the role of Savittri in the film directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanyam fame. 

Before the makers finalised Keerthi Suresh,many rumours spread that star heroine Samantha would play the lead role. But with the turn of events many expressed doubts on relatively young Keerthi Suresh doing justice for the role. 

Now in the midst of all this Swapna Dutt who is producing the film on Vyjayanthi Movies banner while peaking to scribes made startling revelation that Keerthi was not the first choice for Mahanati Savitri role. 

She said they have signed Samantha for the lead role but Nag Ashwin suggested that a newcomer will suit for the role and so they changed their mind and finalised Keerthi Suresh. 

She also said Savitri can bring in hundred different expressions with in ten seconds and one should understand the roles she played during her time. She added, they met Savitri's daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari and got lot of information, also many of Savitri's memorable snaps.
