Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao said that Telangana has emerged as the most favoured destination for both international and domestic investors.
Delivering the welcome address at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) at HICC on Tuesday, the Chief Minister showcased the industrial policy of State Government TS-iPass has brought a revolution. He informed that during the last three years, Telangana State has approved 5, 469 industrial units which brought a total investment of 17.5 billion dollars and created nearly 400, 000 jobs. He said it is mandatory under the TS-iPass policy to grant approvals within 15 days and in case of failure, the approval is deemed to have been given.
He also pointed out the Telangana has been ranked number one in 'Ease of Doing Business'. He said the T-Hub, the largest technology incubator which is coming up in Hyderabad would bring a vibrant eco-system. He said the NITI Ayog has recognised T-Hub as a role model. He said Hyderabad is second headquarter for several global companies including 5 most valuable companies including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon.
Describing Hyderabad as the most happening city with firebrand economic activity, the Chief Minister said the delegates of Global Entrepreneurship Summit would find the city as most welcoming and hospitable destination. He said that the Telangana Government was delighted to showcase its investor friendly environment on such a large platform. He said that the government was keen to learn the innovative works being done by others. He hoped that the deliberations in the next two days would enrich all with new plans and ideas.
KCR advised the delegates to enjoy legendary hospitality of Hyderabad and relish its signature dish 'Hyderabadi Biryani''. These concluding remarks made everyone one, including Prime Minister Narender Modi, laugh.
