What were the hidden reasons for Demonetization: Modi's critics often say he was cinematic in speeches and attitude. They alleged Modi wanted to get his personal image increased by leaps and bounds through Demonetization. And this was said to be hidden reason which was not stated officially by the government.

Who were benefited with Demonetization?: It was alleged by the opposition parties that black money holders changed their currency into white. Electronic payment brands like Paytm and others hit a goldmine. some of the bank employees were also said to have been benefited to the core.

Disadvantages with Demonetization

* Around 200 people who stood outside ATM queues were died while many more were hospitalized.

* None of the prime objectives of Demonetization like curbing terrorism, black money and corruption was achieved.

* India's GDP drastically fell to 5.7% in September this year which is all time low over a span of three years. The former PM Dr Manmohan Singh claimed Demotization as an organized loot and  legalized plunder by the government.

* Common man's prospects were not changed. The government couldn't deposit money in Jan Dhan Yojana accounts as it made it an election promise.

* No reduction of prices for daily commodities, petrol and other fuels.

* Tax payers hopes were shattered as not many benefits were shown by the government.

Finally, how was Demonetization's Objective was changed?: Since the government failed in curbing terrorism, black money and corruption, it is claiming that it had led people of India into digitalization and increase in cashless transactions was their biggest victory.

What are people hoping now?: People want to get the normalcy which was existed before November 8, 2016. Will they really get those 'ACHCHE DIN' in 2019? Let's wait and watch.
