Then Draupadi, Now Late NTR!

It was 1936. Telugu film was just a 4-year old kid then. In spite of being in budding stages, a huge battle between two films was witnessed by Tollywood then. There was a clash of two mythological films titled Draupadi Vastrapaharanam and Draupadi Manasamrakshanam. DV was directed by Hanumanthappa Viswanadha Babu and Draupadi's role was performed by then top actress Kannamba. 

On the other hand, DMS was directed by Jagannadha Shastry. Duryodhana role was played by then top drama and cine artist Ballari Raghava. Unfortunately, Draupadi Manasamrakshanam was bombed at the box office while Draupadi Vastrapaharanam scored stupendous hit breaking many records.

Co-incidentally, something similar situation appeared to be happening next year. While two films of same concept were made with Draupadi as protagonist in 1936, two directors are all set to make two films of same subject roping in Ntr's character as the protagonist in their films. 

And those two filmmakers are none other than Ram Gopal Varma and Teja who are all set to be directing Lakshmi's Ntr and Balakrishna's Ntr respectively.

During the clash of 1936, only one film scored a big hit. Will it be the same situation in 2018? or else both the films score flops or hits? Let's wait and watch.
