Resul Pookutty needs no introduction after his Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire. The film shot Resul to International stardom for his excellent sound design and mixing that was raved by one and all.
Resul has new plans now. He is going to make his debut as actor soon on silver screen. The film titled The Sound Story will have Resul playing himself and is directed by Prasad Prabhakar.
The movie is based on a popular annual festival in Kerala and will simultaneously be made in three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
Director Prasad Prabhakar says, ‘the most interesting thing about the movie is that it can be watched with closed eyes since it has more to do with the music.'
Resul will be playing himself as a sound designer who comes to Thrissur and covers various sounds at the week long festival. The movie will capture the essence of festival where 10 lakh people witness every year.
The Sound Story will have 164 tracks and two songs composed by Rahul Ral. Lyrics are penned by Vairamuthu.
