One thing Kamal Hasan made for clear is, his new political outfit will come out soon into public and is in the process of developing a manifesto. At the same time, Tamil Nadu politics might take a new form if at all Kamal agrees to join hands with National parties like BJP or for that matter even Congress.

‘For me, nobody is untouchable here in politics. So, I would not hesitate to join hands with the BJP if something good for the people comes out of it. I’ve been attracted to communist ideology from beginning days. Even then I would join hands with others if it is for administration of state that doesn't hinder my basic principles including fight against corruption,’ Kamal said in an interview.

About quitting cinema, Kamal further added. ‘If at all I take up a position legally, I should quit acting. It is really painful but to fulfil my commitment I should do it.’

On the agenda of joining with BJP, ‘they are going deep right and that distresses me. If there is a common minimum programme that will benefit people, I am OK with it. About joining Rajinikanth, we made a pact to criticise each other but not insult. In fact, we both are so different. We both never agree on the kind of movies we both work on. For me, cinema need not be used to propagate one’s political ideology,’ Kamal said.
