Are comedy artists meant only to entertain us in bits and pieces as part of a film? Aren’t they really in-eligible to take up new challenges in film industry?
Star comedian cum writer cum multi talented artist Posani Krishna Murali at a recent press meet opened his opinion up about backstabbing in TFI and went on to say there is no humanity in this part of the field where everything is a business. He also revealed on how Ali and himself were removed in last minute from a film and were replaced by some others without intimating them.
‘Ali never complained about anything in last 32 years but he felt very sad about this,’ Posani revealed. Simultaneously, Ali called for all the comedians in industry to live like brothers and keep their funny fights only restricted on screen.
One more influential cinema personality, Kadambari Kiran remarked on how he was to direct a film with Nagarjuna but did not get to the execution stge.
‘Nagarjuna liked the script and wanted to do this film with me. Someone came into the middle and I never got a call,’ Kadambari Kiran recalled. Wonder whom Posani, Ali and Kiran referred to?
Here raises the moot question, should comedians continue only as comedians? Why is it that their creative future is killed?
