In a stunning move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flushed the existing 500 and 1000 currency notes from the Indian economical system on November 8th last year in the name of Demonetization. That was considered the death for 1000 note though later 500 and 2000 notes were introduced into the circulation.
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently released new design of 50 Rupees note and also brought in 200 note for the first time. This made many of us believe and assure that it's obituary for 1000.
And now, the shocking buzz is that the government is also mulling the option of reintroducing 1000 Rupees note and make it come alive in new colour and new style.
Yes, these notes will arrive with a new design and security features. Sources say that printing will begin very soon and the denomination may come into circulation from December. Both the government and Reserve Bank are mum about this development.
