Nandyal Kurukshetra has successfully been ended on a peaceful note today. For the past couple of days both the ruling TDP and opposition party YSRCP deployed all their forces in Nandyal constituency to win the by-polls battle. Although the polls are confined just for a single constituency, it appeared general polls for entire AP state are held now. And the reason is clear. Both TDP and YCP took the polls prestigious as they would have considerable impact on people for next general elections.

According to the reports, 82% votes have been polled and which is more than 10% to that of general elections, 2014. Right now, political analysts and people across Telugu states are busy assessing the poll trends. Based on their analyses they have various speculations on the winner. Let's go through the merits of TDP and YCP for victory and the consolidation.

TDP's Advantages:

* The government used administrative powers to the fullest. Most of the ministers and MLAs campaigned in the constituency and most of them stayed until the completion of polls.

* TDP distributed more money to the voters than YCP.

* Since TDP had good number of caste based yellow channels with them, they succeeded in making Goebbels propaganda on YCP and its head YS Jagan.

* On the day of the polls, a case was registered on YS Jagan for using derogatory remarks on Chandrababu Naidu. It's speculated that Venkaiah Naidu might have given some directions  to the key personalities at the centre for this sudden development on the polling day.

* Trends said TDP has edge from Urban votes.

* And last but not the least, Lagadapati Rajagopal predicted TDP's victory. As we know, Lagadapati is considered to be Andhra octopus.

YCP'S ADVANTAGES:

* Voting percentage has increased unbelievably. Unless, there is an anti incumbency, no such hike in voting percentage.

* YCP had an edge among rural voters.

* YS Jagan has lot of craze and charisma as a politician which might have worked wonders.

CONSOLIDATION: Currently, TDP has a little edge for a victory. Yet, analysts are still scratching heads and got perplexed with the trends in poll battle. Analysts may have divergent opinions on the winner. As a mater of fact, no one can confidently say the name of the winner at the moment. Let's wait upto 28th of this month to know the winner of this much awaited battle.
