Telugu film industry has been in a deep shock with few names of Tollywood's film fraternity connected with drugs mafia. It is a known news that Excise Department served notices to 12 celebs who they had suspected on consumption of drugs.
Later, all those celebs were grilled by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the government. Media, on the other hand, showed entire TFI in a bad light in such a way all celebs had been addicted to drugs. It's now being heard that 15 more celebs would be issued notices for further interrogation.
With reference to the chaos prevailed in Tollywood, The President of the Film Chamber of Commerce, Movie Artists Association, Telugu Film Producers Council and Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce jointly wrote an open letter to Telangana CM KCR in which they pleaded the government not to treat all celebs had been culprits in the issue.
"We always project only good and show evil in bad spirits and we make movies against caste, religion and other barriers. Entire industry should not be humiliated because of a few people's blunders. We appreciate the CM for fighting against drugs racket. We also cooperate him in taking disciplinary actions against the people who got indulged in drug menace," appealed Tollywood to KCR.
