Analysis: Srimanthudu & DJ Run with BB

Apparently, an interesting connection lies between Prince Mahesh's Srimanthudu and Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Dj Duvvada Jagannadham. The first big film that got released after the release of 'Baahubali - The Beginning' was Srimanthudu. And the first big film that was released post the release of 'Baahubali - The Conclusion' was Dj Duvvada Jagannadham.

Team Baahubali ensured no big or small film released post BB's release. Obviously, audience are left with no choice except to watch BB in theatres. As and when contemporary genre's Srimanthudu was released after a month of the released of the folklore entertainer, people breathed a sigh of relief. Although there were good number factors elicited by the critics for the film's success, drought for a contemporary movie was also one of the prime reason's for the movie's success.

Similarly, DJ also got benefited like Srimanthudu being released as the first film post BB 2 was released. However, major difference between Srimanthudu and DJ was that Srimanthudu got rave reviews and high ratings while DJ was lambasted heavily and got poor ratings. But then, at the end of the day, both SM and DJ will have a share difference of between Rs.5 crores and Rs.10 crores.
