EC Taking Advantage of Facebook

Technology if wisely used will create wonders and reduce man power.

Election Commission Of India is exactly trying to do this.

EC is planning to use Facebook for new voter registration.

Since Facebook is the single largest community in social media with more than 200 crore people registered, it is a very smart move from EC to use it to advantage.

From July 1, any new eligible voter can log into Facebook and will find a reminder message to register for vote.

The user will be redirected to the national voting registration web site www.nvsp.in where he can complete the registration process.

The main aim of election commission is to get all the eligible users enrolled in voting process.

This is a very smart move from EC and will definitely increase the percentage of registered voters because Facebook is more popular among youngsters.

India being the biggest democracy should use Technology to smoothen their governing process which the EC is rightly doing. So, Facebook users can now get a vote too.
