Rajini's One Crore Donation a Strategy?

National South Indian Rivers Inter-Linking Farmers Association representatives on Sunday met Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai to seek his support for their cause. In this context, the farmers reminded him of a promise he had made in 2002 to donate Rs 1 crore for the cause.

Now that Rajini soon stepping into the shoes of politics, obviously,  he offered to donate the said amount to them. However, strangely, the association leaders requested him to give the money directly to the Centre and this update raises doubts if Rajini and BJP led union government planned a strategy and let farmers were involved in it.

However the farmers said, "We told Rajini sir that he should give it to the Centre so as to boost the demand for interlinking of rivers."
