Within a couple of days after Shruti Haasan enraptured the spectators with her dazzling looks in glittering outfits at Red Carpet of Cannes, she had to walk out from India's expensive project Sangamithra.
The news was disclosed by none other than the makers of the film Sri Thenandal Films. "Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to proceed working with Shruti Haasan in Sangamithra," they tweeted.
Shruti was supposed to essay the title role of the film. She was seen riding a horse as a warrior queen Sangamithra. Nevertheless, her looks invited criticisms from various corners. It is still uncertain whether she, herself, opted out of the film nor the makers contemplated to rope in another female lead of the movie.
Whatsoever, this is certainly a huge blow for an expensive film which earlier was supposed to be made with a budget of Rs.600 crores but was later slashed to Rs.200 crores. Arya and Jayam Ravi will be seen in other key roles in this Sundar C's directorial venture.
