King Nagarjuna has been busy promoting his latest production venture 'Raarandoyi Veduka Chooddam' starred by his elder son Naga Chaitanya. Apart from the movie's details Nagarjuna spoke about his ongoing projects and other personal details.
As we know, 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' stood as the first Rs.50 crores project for Nagarjuna. When the journos quizzed him about breaking the record, Nagarjuna said 'Baahubali 2' collected Rs.1500 crores. As such, Rs.50 crores club and Rs.100 crores etc. records should be forgotten.
This appears little odd to hear. Every hero or filmmaker wishes an improvement in his new projects comparing with their older ones. Obviously, collections of those films are considered one of the parameters to be chosen.
"Commercial entertainers should definitely be compared with other commercial films if not with the films of other genres. If at all a Nagarjuna's film enters Rs.70 crores club or Rs.100 crores club, won't he feel proud? nor doen't he promote the film stating the collections of those films? 'Baahubali 2' should be treated a special movie for innumerable reasons. and stars like Nagarjuna should compete with other big stars films or with their previous films for perfection," say some observers.
For time being, Nagarjuna should try to break records of 'Khaidi Number 150', 'Srimanthudu' etc. Else, his statement reminds the Telugu idiom 'Andani draksha.....'
