Legendary filmmaker and former union minister Darshakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao was honoured with Padma Sri Dr Allu Rama Lingaiah Memorial Award by Megastar Chiranjeevi today.
Now that Dasari is celebrating his birthday today, Chiranjeevi along with mega producer Allu Aravnd and Mohan Babu visited the director today. And it was treated as the right occasion Dasari was presented the highly esteemed award.
Speaking on this occasion, Chiranjeevi recalled how Dasari would affectionately ask him about the collections of 'Khaidi Number 150' in spite of being hospitalized and was under medication.
Dasari expressed his delight for receiving the award and said the award was so special for him. He remembered the bond he had it with late Allu Rama Lingaiah. " I directed around 150 films and Allu Rama Lingaiah garu acted around 100 films among them,' revealed Dasari.
Dasari was supposed to receive the award in a grand event on March 15 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. As the director's health condition deteriorated and was hospitalized, he couldn't receive the award then. Since Dasari is getting recuperated now, industry's celebs and Dasari's fans went on merriment.
