Prabhas, Rajamouli - Testing Times

Having spent five years in carving Baahubali as a magnum opus and record wobbling Indian project upholding the Telugu cinema respect on International pedestal, no more director Rajamouli and hero Prabhas are regional personalities. In literal sense, their craze and glorious fame went cutting beyond state, country and continental boundaries.

This is not first time Rajamouli created visual wonders and Box Office thunders. Only difference is Baahubali 2 saw elephantine success than what his past blockbusters like Magadheera or Eega have achieved.

Well, all is said and done. Jakkanna was confident of re-writing the Tollywood or say Indian Box Office history with Baahubali and he proved it.

As excitement builds, what’s left more for Rajamouli and Prabhas to prove? Will they be making one more Baahubali scale assignment as their immediate next or in life time? Possible answer is NO.

In fact, every hero who achieved stardom working with Rajamouli like Junior NTR after Simhadri, Ramcharan after Magadheera, Prabhas after Chatrapathi faced struggles to rebuild their respective careers with the stardom and acceleration given by Jakkanna.

Truth is that expectations from audience will have no limits. If you give them Magadheera, they ask for Baahubali and then they seek for Baahubali 2.

Rajamouli being an inventor, optimistically he has plenty of options open from his father writer Vijayendra Prasad and a supporting family. In contrast, Prabhas too signed Saaho with Sujeet and UV Creations.

Biggest obstacle for both of them is the ill effects from Baahubali 2 success. Saaho has to be a convincing film on par or above Baahubali standards to fulfill and match the common audience forecasts.

Will this be a possible feat for Jakkanna and Tollywood Darling to come out from Baahubali shadow with forthcoming ventures and also to pull our patrons out from Baahubali hangover?
