Prabhas or Mahesh Babu!?

Ever since Mahabharatha was announced as a 1000 Crore magnum opus by a Dubai based businessman Dr BR Shetty starring Mohan Lal in Bhima’s role, speculations went rife on other Telugu, Tamil stars to be a part of this prestigious project. 

‘We are negotiating with best talents available in the world. We aim to make Mahabharatha as a global film and set global benchmarks repositioning India and its prowess in mythological storytelling. This film will be adapted in over 100 languages and reach over 3 billion people across the world,’ producer Shetty said.

While the gossip of Mahesh Babu to play Lord Krishna or Arjuna role is highly promoted in Indian film circles, Prabhas Fans in Baahubali hangover are also expecting their Rebel Star to be in the prime Mahabharatha league. 

Given the subject is an epic of all epics and the film is meant to cater world audience as a whole, makers are contemplating to accommodate each of the regional super stars a role in the project which means Mohan Lal, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan are almost confirmed and only one from Telugu cinema… then who will it be… Mahesh Babu or Prabhas?
