One can market a film by going to any sort of extreme flattery levels. However, it shouldn't be meant to erode the status of other films intentionally as it sends wrong feelers to most others.
Having gone through the speeches of some of the guests and cast, crew at 'Baahubali 2' pre release event, it was understood that Telugu films and even other languages films made in India are desperately degraded to elevate 'Baahubali 2'.
"Spielberg wondered how Indians had made thousands of films with just one story. He will now realize there are other stories like 'Baahubali 2'," said Rebel Star Krishnam Raju. Many others from the crew opined that 'Baahubali' is the only Telugu film that brought fame to Telugu people.
In fact, 'Baahubali' turned as a magnum opus because of its high end VFX which was done mostly by Hollywood technicians. Moreover, the film hadn't been acclaimed as a content rich film. Most of the credit for the film goes to its visuals. However, makers assured that 'Baahubali 2' is rich with content. It then remains to be seen how great the movie keeps Telugu pride on top.
But makers should ensure that none of the other Indian films are degraded during their promotions because there were many film makers in past and present who enriched Indian cinema with their invaluable contribution. Please, do not belittle them for the just sake of 'Baahubali 2' promotions because we agree to a fact that you made India feel proud, let it do not damage others. 'Baahubali' is a great effort but this cannot be the ultimate.
