Why Katamarayudu Benefit Shows Cancelled?

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's 'Katamarayudu' started with terrific openings everywhere. A good number of benefit shows were exhibited in many centers of Andhra Pradesh. However, the Hyderabad police has denied permission for benefit  shows in the city for a valid reason.

Usually, a benefit show's ticket is fixed somewhere between Rs.300 and Rs.1000 in AP depending upon the buzz carried by the film. In contrast, the denominations of ticket prices are in thousands such as Rs.1000, Rs.2000 and Rs.3000 in Hyderabad..Since huge criticism was faced by the police for permitting benefit shows for many films previously, the police has now turned adamant in giving the permission for screening 'Katamarayudu' with early morning shows which led to the cancellation of maximum number of shows across the city.

In spite of cancellation of benefit shows, 'Katamarayudu' is expected to accumulate record collections on day one. The film was directed by Dolly on Northstar Entertainment. Shruti Haasan has romanced Pawan Kalyan. Anup Rubens provided the music.
