Like the characterization of his heroes and street smart writing flow from his pen, the attitude of Puri Jagannath is the same obstinate. Despite a super hit or a bumper flop, demand for Puri seems to be the same and it’s only heroes who might perceive him with a wrong-focused eye. Whatsoever, Puri found the hero for his long back penned subject ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which was actually supposed to go for Mahesh Babu.

Post the Tollywood phase changing ‘Pokiri’ and an average ‘Businessman,’ a hat trick in the combination of Puri and Mahesh was expected. Discussing on ‘Jana Gana Ma,’ we have read that Puri approached Mahesh Babu more than three to four times only to face diplomatic rejection. Waiting for a right moment to cash on this powerful script, Puri Jagannath took the chance and Balakrishna was more than happy to lock his 101st.

The moment Bhavya Creations Ananda Prasad joined as producer, Puri went aggressive and announced (though untitled as ‘Jana Gana Mana’) the muhurath date as March 9th and release date as September 29th. A super hit is what Puri would be looking from this project because NBK accepted to work with him at a time when star heroes (especially Mahesh Babu) declined his proposals and looked down upon as a flop director. Hope, Puri will teach a lesson to all of them in the company of Balayya Babu.
