The filmmaker, however, has been dared enough to keep his word. It is known that crazy heroine of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi industries, Shruti Haasan has reportedly signed the project to play the lead actress. Her presence is surely the best choice for this trilingual project.

However, Arya and Jayam Ravi, who have earlier been roped in as the male leads, got their charisma confined to Kollywood only. Although Vijay and Suriya were earlier approached, they turned down the offer, which reduced the expectations on the movie considerably. Yet again, other factors like high budget, historical genre, AR Rehaman's music and top technicians involvement on the project might make the film getting zenith of expectations by the time of its release.
