Vangaveeti Film Released 5 Years Ago?

Was RGV's 'Vangaveeti' film released five years ago? According to some observers, the answer is 'yes'. In the year 2011, RGV made a movie titled 'Bejawada' with Naga Chaitanya. The movie was gossiped to have been made with the backdrop of Vijayawada's politics with Ranga and Devineni Nehru projected in crucial roles. 

However, the names of the key characters of the film were changed in 'Bejawada'. Moreover, main focus was kept on elevating Naga Chaitanya's role. As the movie bombed at the box office, 'Bejawada' went unnoticed by movie fans in lieu of triggering controversy. 

RGV's 'Vangaveeti', in contrast, has been made as a biopic of Vangaveeti Ranga. The film is gearing up for release today in Telugu states. It remains to be seen how well the film garners the attention of movie goers.
