This is truly a blessing in disguise for Ramcharan and entire ‘Dhruva’ unit. The intelligent play by Allu Aravind in postponing ‘S3’ from scheduled December 16th to 23rd has done a favor more than expected. Apparently, Suriya made a statement on ‘S3’ isn’t arriving on 23rd and unofficial reports say the cop action thriller is pushed indefinitely to January end.
With no other prominent big budgeted movies from star heroes in the fray till Sankranti, this is an unexpected advantage for ‘Dhruva.’ By the end of first week, Ramcharan reached a safe benchmark of Rs. 40 Crores share but the real star stamina of a hero comes into count from here on because empty Box Office battle field should have to be effectively capitalized.
Strategically, Geetha Arts has to begin new promotions phase because Ramcharan, Rakul Preet Singh and Surender Reddy are very much available. In addition, none of the movies released yesterday succeeded in breaking the Box Office jinx opening to weak revenues and negative word of mouth publicity.
Although there are four to five more new films readying to release every week till yearend, none of them have got the capacity to challenge ‘Dhruva.’ Now or never, this is a golden chance for Allu Aravind to sharpen his publicity attack before audience dry out at ‘Dhruva’ theaters by this weekend.
