Sunday Blow For Ramcharan!

All set for Ramcharan to join Million Dollar club with ‘Dhruva’ in the US. This was the heading everywhere in media when Satuday revenues of the film was officially reported from America. Till then the movie was sailing on rapid pace raking almost $800K by Saturday. Trade analysts were hopeful of ‘Dhruva’ to reach magical mark by Sunday but CJ went against it quoting Monday as best possible day because Sunday was never a favorable day at Box Office even for super blockbusters.

However, NRI Telugu audience deterred the Mega plan thrashing all hopes with meager adoration for action thriller on Sunday. Less than $150K collection on Sunday is a huge blow and ‘Dhruva’ isn’t resilient because Monday numbers are far more dismal with just $31K. At this pace ‘Dhruva’ might need two more days, say at least Wednesday to give a high five.

Meanwhile, ‘Dhruva’ collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are decent enough to be called a hit, despite adverse climatic conditions and demonetization have hit hard. Finally, ‘Dhruva’ deccelerating to a sudden first gear on Sunday from Saturday’s sixth gear made $1M mark an uphill task for Ramcharan.
