Muhammad Bin Tughluq was the Sultan of Delhi who ruled his kingdom between 1324 and 1351. Unfortunately, he was considered the mad king owing for two major reasons. He shifted his capital from Delhi to Devagiri (Daulatabad) which was said to be a huge blunder. Also, he introduced a token currency another silly act by the sultan. On the other side of the fence, Tughluq was a scholar of logic, philosophy, Mathematics, Astronomy and Physical Science. As we know, whenever any ruler does administrative blunders, he is compared with Tughluq

Tughluq's admirers, however, feel it as a humiliation to the emperor. "Although, Tughluq took a few worst administrative decisions, he was a visionary and scholar. It is not fair insulting him comparing with some of todays rulers who have less education and no vision in their approach compared with Tughluq," felt some of the historians.
