Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s ‘Ism’ released last week might end its complete run in next one or two weeks. Meanwhile, trade sources are pressing their calculator buttons speculating on overall revenue this film can mint. Reports say, ‘Ism’ is likely to make a total share of Rs. 10 or 11 Crores by this weekend. How far are these 11 Crores numbers matching with 25 Crores budget already spent on shaping the product by producer NKR?
As an artist, Kalyan Ram got a complete makeover in Puri Jagannath direction but his Box Office potentiality isn’t tapped anything far above ‘Patas.’ This makes Kalyan Ram a loser when analyzed from a producer perspective but as an actor, he gained a little by earning new image.
Need of the hour is, Kalyan Ram should work on other banners by charging a decent remuneration from respective producers. Till the time NKR is struck in his own NTR Arts banner bankrolling his heroic projects on self risk basis, obviously his financial statement can remain lopsided.
